Setting all of that aside there could've been some major adjustments that would've made this a superior than all of the installments in the franchise combined. I thought a few of the character's death were more brutal (particularly Karen's) and the "safety's on" part actually got a giggle out of me. The highlight for me though was the last twenty minutes where they attempted a few new things. There was no suspense as I knew who was gonna die thus I got bored easily and checked my phone a lot. Why do this style of remaking as it evidently never works (Psycho and Carrie remakes). Plus, as was expected, almost everything was the same. Chemistry sucked too, just felt like a bunch of actors getting together for an easy buck.
